Annagh sink with two little ducks!
Annagh United's pre-season suffered a setback last night after an embarrassing home defeat to Ballyvea of the Newcastle and Mourne league. From a panel of 22 players, manager Keith Wilkinson paired young Burrows up front with Grieg Stewart, Simmons and Adam Nesbitt played on the flanks either side of Uel Woolsey and Raymund Harpur in the middle. Chris Guiney, Keith Percy, Colin Bingham and Lee Mackle completed the defence in front of Kyle Nelson. At half time and 2-0 down, Wilkinson decided for a complete re-shuffle changing the entire team with the other 11 players. Ballyvea added a superb 3rd goal direct from a free kick and completed their scoring with a fourth soon afterwards.
The only consolation for Annagh United was a finely taken goal by Martin Hughes, playing up front. A quick throw by right back, David Nesbitt allowed Uprichard to slip a through ball to Hughes who finished well past the keeper.
Annagh will look to put things right on Thursday night with another home frienly agasint Mid Ulster Intermediate side Bournview YM.
